AMD-4 Kyle O'Meara

For my AMD 4 I decided to visit a German-news website (http://www.zeit.de/index) and to browse around and attempt to read articles on the website in German and changing it to English to help aid my lack of German vocabulary. Using Wikipedia I found that the Zeit is one of the more widespread news outlet sin Germany. I understand from German class that Zeit mean time. I also immediately noticed from once I went to the website that links on the top to certain categories of news I understood. These words in German that were sections of news I understood were: Politik (politics), Wirtshaft (economics), Kultur (culture), and Auto and Sport, which are similar to their English counter parts. The article I read was on the main page and was called Tarifpolitik der CDU, which I assumed had something to do with politics. The only vocabulary words I could pick out were politik, sodern, and aber, which the occasional other easy ones. Despite the hard reading I read the article in English and it was about setting minimum wages in Germany. Other than the article I also noticed ads for Deutche Bank, and found the comments section of the article to be named Kommentare. The site was built like most US news websites, and not that much different besides the language barrier.
