I found it funny that for the World Cup the company that was making articles for American's that it made one about drinking. But, it was useful as it did explain the background behind breweries in Germany and what you are suppose to do when actually drinking. This article was also kind enough to list the best places to get a cold one. Interesting enough, although the previous article said people are often drinking in public and people rarely care, the next article talks about how the government is thinking about changing the laws about public drinking. The article lists the reasons behind this as both it is not appropriate and for public safety. Personally, I think the main reason is so the world does not view German as unsafe due to public drinking. It also states that it was passed, then thrown out, which follows what happened in America when we tried to make drinking illegal.
