This chapters articles were very interesting as they had to do with everyday life and how different it is in German. Bicycles are extremely popular in German and almost everyone uses them. And it makes sense, distances are not as far in German as they are in America, so the entire city could be based on using bicycles. And like cars in America, if you don't know the rules you are likely to get hurt. Even though the sidewalk is for both bicycles and walkers, bicycle riders ALWAYS have the right-of-way, so be careful when walking in the sidewalks. Another major difference is how serious running a red light is taken. In America people to do it all the time, but in German you can get yelled at, insulted, and get into accidents. As mentioned in previous articles Germans take public security and safety very seriously. As such when you run a red light other drivers will speed up and almost get in an accident with you (on purpose). But, you shouldn't break any laws anyways, you are a guest in a foreign country.
