Kultur 4 - Will Burton

This is really late. like, excessively, obnoxiously late... anyway, better late than never. I found the culture articles for chapter 4 to be quite interesting and humorous. especially the way in which the various authors all seemed to portray Germans as, for lack of a better term, jerks. If what we read in the articles was true, it seems like Germans are so conditioned to following the rules that they will go out of their way to punish or atleast piss off those not doing likewise. The part of the text that explains how drivers will often accelerate toward a person walking across the street ignoring a red light and the way in which even "punkers" will obey crossing signals
In general, all of these culture readings seem to give the impression that Germans are people who like rules, or atleast, obey them.
