Public Transportation

I found that in Germany the public had a different view on transportation then how it is here in America, especially here in Ann Arbor. The part where the guy said he witnessed a group of people stop at a crosswalk at 3am in the morning and wait for the sign was astounding considering the fact that here in Ann Arbor it is pedestrians first and run for life. Another thing I found that was strange is the honor system train thing. It seems different then in like New york or even places like London where you need a ticket to board the train. Maybe I read it wrong or the German people are just saints and never steal anything. Whatever the case is I would have never had this perception until I read these articles.
