AMD 4 - Emily Seidel

For my AMD 4, I chose to join Livemocha.com. To begin with, I did some of the exercises from Unit 1, Lesson 1. The vocabulary was very easy, but it was good to see how the website and exercises worked. After I finished most of that lesson, I moved on to Unit 2, Lesson 1. This lesson focused mostly on prepositions, along with introducing a few more vocabulary words (most of which I was familiar with).

While I did know most of the new vocabulary, it did surprise me how much it helped me to learn the proper use of the prepositions "auf dem", "im", "in", etc. Prior to this, I generally just guessed which prepositions to use. I now feel confident that I would be able to choose the correct preposition for a given situation.
