Nitai Kapitel 3 blog post

Hallo,
For my kulture kapitel 3 blog post,, I read the articles, " Capping the Bottle: Germany looks to tighten up public drinking rules," "Yo dude, what about the Turks? An introduction to Germany'd real fast food joints," and, "Forget the Mett, try a Frikadelle." I found these articles on German food and drinks in their culture to be very interesting. In the article about drinking, it brings up the well known stereotype of Germans and beer. I was a little skeptical of the extent of the drinking in Germany in public, as I have talked to friends in Germany who have said that Germans do not actually drink as much as much as people think. Having seen public drinking, it also does not seem as bad, however, coming from New York it is common for me to see people drink in public, although they have bags covering what they are drinking. The article about the fast food was not as interesting actually, just because that is very similar to the same type of foods in New York and other places, however here it is called "hallal food." The last article I found funny how there were different fast foods for each culture. I had assumed that fast foods were basically the same everywhere. It seems from the article that the German fast foods are a little last "fast food-y" than American fast food. American fast food seems to be extremely basic, while the German fast foods seem more exotic or atleast difficult to make.
Guten Abend,
Nitai Leve
